Freaks EP (Metal Blade, 1989)
Rigor Mortis vs. The Earth (Triple X), (1991)

Considered to be the first Death bands signed to a major label, they were also one of the pioneering bands to head the underground scene in Texas. I'm not really into too many death/thrash bands and it took me a few listens, but Rigor Mortis is an awesome band.

Exumer-Possessed By Fire

Another band that split after only releasing two full-length albums. Possessed By Fire being the better of the two in my opinion. From what I've have read, they plan on releasing new material later in the year.

The Annals of Subterfuge (2010, Retroactive Records)

Let me start off by saying that I wanted to hate this band when I first read up on them. Christian thrash? Really? And what do I get, an awesome thrash band in my opinion at least. They went though a lot of style and member changes from the original lineup, but their first two albums are great thrash albums.

Coroner!!!

Origin Zurich, Switzerland
Genres Technical thrash metal
Years active 1983–1996
2010–present
Labels Noise

Studio albums:
R.I.P. (1987)
Punishment for Decadence (1988)

Mental Vortex (1991)
Grin (1993)

Demos
Death Cult (1986)
R.I.P. demo (1987)
Punishment for Decadence (1988)

Originally members of Celtic Frost's road crew, Coroner is a three piece thrash powerhouse. Hugely underrated band with only a hand full of albums. I would have to suggest R.I.P. which is one of my favorite albums.

Ulysses Siren

American technical thrash metal band from the Bay Area scene (San Francisco) split after recording two demos (1985 1987), they are now reunited in 2003, Real Metal Records released "Above the Ashes" a compilation / album that contains material from these two early demos.

Above the Ashes is a great album. I would suggest you listen!!!

Havok-Time Is Up

I've been waiting since Burn for Havok to release a new album, and let me tell you I think it was well worth the wait. The pure awesomeness that spews out of every song is enough for you to headbang yourself into a coma!!! Not to mention a little something extra for everyone who downloads it off Itunes. A cover of Slayer's Postmortem/Raining Blood what the fuck more can you ask for?!?!?!

Gama Bomb!!!

One of my favorite bands of the NWOTM. Generic yes, but you cannot deny the vocals of Philly Byrne. I mostly believe it's the Irish connection that brought me to them, but the music goes far beyond that. Saw them live with Bonded By Blood, Evile(more great NWOTM bands) Forbidden, and Overkill and the show kicked my ass and then some.

Discography-
Albums

2006: Survival of the Fastest
2008: Citizen Brain
2009: Tales from the Grave in Space

Singles & EPs

2002: The Survival Option
2004: The Fatal Mission
2007: Zombi Brew
2010: Half Cut

Insane-Wait and Pray

Anyone who appreciates Slayer's Show No Mercy needs to check out this band. When someone suggested them to me and said it sounds like an extended version of Show No Mercy all I could do is laugh and say fuck you to them because how could you compare and unknown thrash band from Italy to SLAYER?!?! Well I'm not saying they are anywhere close to Slayer, but I do have to say you can hear the effect Slayer had on them. Hopefully you enjoy.

Epidemic

I've really just started to scratch the surface with this band. Not to be confused with Epidemic from other countries, the US Epidemic is straight up old school Death/Thrash. Two albums that you should definitely check out would be The Truth Of What Will Be and Decameron.

Rampage- The Rampage Begins...

First off I have to give credit to another blog for bringing this band to my attention. Witching Metal's blog is where i found this band. In listening to it you'd be amazed at the sound. Knowing going into listening that they were part of the new wave of thrash I wasn't expecting an 80's thrash sound, but that is exactly what I heard. The minute the bass kicks in you'll know. When you get a chance got to their myspace page and give them a listen.
